 Fort Hood Dolphin Coaches:

From Coach Paige:

Each swimmer on the Dolphins is encouraged to do dryland training on their own in addition to what is done at practice. Water time is valuable so we must use every opportunity to become stronger. Strengthening core muscles is great for improving flipturns and kicking speed. Improving upper body strength helps protect the shoulder, along with many other benefits. This means, at a minimum, pushups and abdominals 3-4 times per week, about 15 minutes each time. It is obvious to the coaches who is and who isn't doing dryland. Please read over an
example dryland workout which explains the specifics exercises.  Challenge yourself!

Also, swimmers in the Silver and Gold groups should have a notebook to track personal goals, technical changes, achievements, and dryland sets on own.

If you have any questions please email our coaches at the fhdolphinscoach@fhdolphins.com or you may also see them BEFORE/AFTER practice.
